A wishlist book, oh my goodness! I just want to stay at the hotel tomorrow and tuck into the book - but I guess there's something else to do tomorrow in the Convention programme... Thank you so much, this is simply wonderful!

A really, really compelling and challenging read. At the same time it's a wonderful piece of fiction and pure facts, real historical events with spiced up twists and turns. Funder is a really enjoyable writer and she has the skill to make story flow, but she's shown that non-fiction is really her niche. I couldn't put Stasiland down, while this book took me quite a while. It might be that I would have loved a purely biographical book better, because this was slightly challenging to follow at times as the narrative changed frequently between the four protagonists. Though I couldn't tell which bits exactly were fiction, the fact I knew there were imagined bits and bobs kept me alert while reading. Still, All That I Am is a story of courage, human strength and friendship.

I took it home with me from the meet-up. I love the kitty sticker on the inside, it reminds me of our cat Pulla when she was little. :)

Phew. The book took me quite long to finish and I was constantly getting the different persons confused. But it was an enjoyable read nonetheless. I wish I had known it's based on real events before starting it.

Took the book. I read "Stasiland" by the same author, so it'll be interesting to read a novel by her.

OBCZ Columbus in Helsinki, Uusimaa / Nyland Finland on Friday, October 14, 2016
Released 7 yrs ago (10/22/2016 UTC) at OBCZ Columbus in Helsinki, Uusimaa / Nyland Finland
WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Excellent read, although it took me a while to really get into the story and sometimes it felt a bit difficult to follow it (glad to see I'm not the only one!). I've read plenty of books about Nazi Germany but this was written from a refreshingly new angle, even if the story is (always) pretty much the same.
Taking this to the Columbus meet-up next week & if no one picks it up, will leave it at the OBCZ shelf there.

Well, I took the book home with me, it was nice to meet you Sakirmo and thank you for bringing this book. It's not a typical choice for me but I'd like to give it a try someday.
edit 8.4.2017: Too many books, too little time, so I took this one to our meet-up.
