This book took a little side vacation with me to Barcelona, Spain then enjoyed a 10 day cruise on Norwegian Cruise Line's ship The Spirit. It was wonderful and relaxing having some extra time to read! I found this book very enjoyable and hope you do as well.

Now the book number 7 arrived in Kerava. In fact it arrived a few days ago. it was hiding under some advertisement papers.
So you visited Spain in December as did I! Only I was not in Barcelona but in Torremolinos. My daughter was in Barcelona over Christmas and New Year.
It is now -20 C here in Kerava. It will be nice to read about quilting again.
Thank you for this book, kind bookcrossers!

What an enjoyable novel!
It is too bad that the life was not (and still isn't) as enjoyable for those who happen to have a different colour of skin. It is still a long way to racial as well as gender equality everywhere to say nothing about equal opportunities which is a nice dream to fight for..

I loved reading about the runaway quilt that is mentioned in some of the other books in this series. Amazing what courage some people had to help others in need.
I enjoyed the book and will look out for the rest of the series.

PMed the next reader.

I'm still not able to stitch but I love the explanations.
What a wonderful idea to design a quilt as a secret map.
The last part was of the story was a bit less credible and interesting.

I had an other book ready to mail to penelopewanders so I just dropped this one in the enveloppe.

Back to the Elm Creek series. This goes back to the time of the underground railroad. I didn't take the time to look back and try to figure out the relationships between these characters and the ones previously written about as Sylvia's ancestors (as I'm reading these as a bookcrossing spiral I don't have the books anymore so would have to rely on the reviews etc), but that didn't detract from the story at all. This book seemed much less about quilting and far more about the characters, the struggle of the abolitionists and specific historical aspects of that time. As I find that intriguing, I did not mind in the least. I'm looking forward to the next in the series.
I've written for the next address.

arrived today, thank you. I have 1 1/2 ahead of this so I will get to it as soon as I can.

I whizzed through this book. It was an easy read, just what I needed in a stressful week. This is the second in the series I have read, if I come across more I will read those too. sometimes a gentle read with a bit of history, quilting and romance in is just what a girl needs! Off to Queensissi sometime next week

Thanks! It is home with me... Can't wait to read it.

This was probably my favourite up to now. I really enjoyed the details and Mr. Nelson seemed a bit like Mr. Darcy.

I love history so this was one of the main reasons i enjoyed it so much. Thank you!

sending it to twiggynomore asap! Twiggy asked to be skipped so waiting for hearthumper's address instead.

It was originally mailed on about 2 JAN 13 to Annelis in Finland then on to the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, the UK, Portugal, Canada then back to heartthumper in the US and finally back home to me.
