Once again an "old" book from Jill Mansell - and thus a bit disappointing just like most of her other early stuff has been!!!

The cover of the book goes:
Celebrity couple Jack and Cass Mandeville seem to have it all - good looks, successful careers and a great marriage. Their three children are also incredibly talented: stunning Cleo is a top model; devilishly handsome Sean is a hot young comediam; and although sixteen-year-old Sophie hides her looks under big glases and baggy clothes, everyone can see there's a beautiful swan just itching to get out. In the eyes of the nation's press, the Mandevilles can do no wrong.

Until a gorgeous readhed called Imogen turns up to interview Jack and Cass on the morning Jack hits the big Four-O. And the fabulous family finds they're not so perfect after all...

Will ship this one to nikel27 in Germany one of the coming days - so off it goes and becomes international :oD Especially since I bought it in London, read it in Los Angeles and then had to bring it home to Denmark since I had forgotten to bring along "pre-labeled" labels!! *G*

5 out of 10

An easy read and quite what I needed, but as a novel, definetely not one of Mansell´s best. This reads almost like a draft, with some great scenes now and then, but the whole does not quite work, we seem to skip years, relationships are not totally explained. feels like a draft pushed into publication. But having said that, I read it really fast and with enjoyment, I guess Mansell´s style works very well to keep me entertarined.

Book is now available, would like to pass it on to some other reader or wild release it, let me know if you are interested in it.

Received today in a trade from BlossomU - many thanks.

I enjoy Mansell's books when I'm in the mood for something light - so this may not get read straightaway, but I will get round to it sometime!

Well, contrary to my previous journal entry, I did read this straightaway as I wanted a quick read! Typical Mansell, although would have to agree it is not one of her better books. However, it is a quick and easy read that you don't need to think about too much, but which is still enjoyable.

Will pass on soon.
