Journal Entry 2 by MaiSpritt from Roanoke, Virginia USA on Sunday, March 14, 2004
Done reading :o) This was my first Kyle Mills novel - however, I am pretty sure that it will not be my last :oD Am passing it on to my dad next (he's the one who gets the thrillers in case you haven't discovered the pattern yet ;o)) - hope he likes it too AND registers it!! He seems a bit reluctant.. Hmmm.... And that's MY dad?! *G* Anyway, the cover of the book goes: ----------------------------------------------- It was meant to be a quick undercover job freeing him from the managerial hell created by his recent job promotion to Special Agent in charge of a backwater office. But the job turns deadly for Mark Beamon when his young protégé is murdered - and the FBI is strangely reluctant to ask the questions that could bring the killers to justice. Abandoned by the organization he has devoted his life to, Beamon finds himself tumbling further and further into his undercover persona - that of a cold-blooded mercenary known only as Nicolai. Too deep, perhaps, ever to return. As he finds himself trapped in a world where the line between international organized crime and world politics blurs - and as America begins to tear itself apart - he has to ask himself just how far he's willing to go to save the country he loves…
