To Africa with Love

In To Africa with Love, modern medical missionary Jim Foulkes shares his amazing adventures of treating near-fatal snake bites, hunting big game to feed hospital patients, and seeing God work miracles in the wild and rough African bush.
In this powerful memoir, Jim recounts conducting surgery under primitive conditions, becoming lost in the dangerous bush, being ensnared in a poacher’s deadly trap, and dealing with heartbreaking loss. Through it all, however, the guiding and protective hand of the Lord is evident. From relating his miraculous escape from a herd of stampeding elephants to winning souls for Christ, the bush doc affirms that God is faithful and good.
“To Africa with Love overflows with emotion and the evident power of God’s Holy Spirit working in and through Jim . . . As you pick up this book to start reading one evening, be prepared for a very long night because you won’t be able to put it down to the end. You’re in for a treat, you’re in for a blessing, and you will be challenged to the depth of your soul.”

This story is inspirational. It is uplifting, sad, and amazing. Having visited Zambia with World Vision, I was interested in the story. Many people are blessed because of missionaries like Dr. James Foulkes.
