I bought this a few weeks ago and thought I'd registered it at the time...
It wasn't quite what I expected but it was very good nonetheless; spanning the 1940s to the late 1970s, it covers independence and its aftermath in Jamaica, mixing issues of celebrity, class and race along the way. Really intriguing stuff.

unfortunately the little shop has changed hands and the OBCZ has closed, so I have a few books to wild release over the summer.
