I bought this a few weeks ago and thought I'd registered it at the time...

It wasn't quite what I expected but it was very good nonetheless; spanning the 1940s to the late 1970s, it covers independence and its aftermath in Jamaica, mixing issues of celebrity, class and race along the way. Really intriguing stuff.
