Didn't enjoy this anywhere near as much as I thought I would, especially given it is set in my favourite historical period ever. I found the characters a bit tiresome, even the ones I think I was supposed to like. Maybe bored rich people are tiresome, who knows? :)

Rather chuffed to find Fitzy at a recent bookcrossing meet up. A book that I hadn't read, but understood to be Fitzgerald's finest, its always been on my radar. I know the title is taken from the poet John Keats "Ode to a Nightingale" and that was enough for me to be intrigued, as I love Keats. I recently read Zelda Fitzgerald's biography that reflect her mental health issues, so I'm interested in how this seeps and into the novel, mirroring the realities of Fitzgerald's life. Looking forward to reading it! Thank you!

This was given to me last year. It's on the 1001 list to read before you die, which I will never get through and even the lovely app says I do not have enough time left .... which is true ... but will slowly plod on :) I actually have the ebook so I plan to pass this on and read it later. Will be back to pop in a journal under here, when I do. Thank you everyone for your jounals and for sharing.
