Subtitle: Murder and the Birth of Forensic Medicine in Jazz Age New York

Fascinating look at a bunch of poisons and the history of forensic science in the US - particularly New York City.

This book is on a bunch of wishlists (which is how it ended up on *my* list), so I'll find someone to share it with rather than wild releasing it.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

Headed to California as a wishlist RABCK; enjoy!

I'd love to see this eventually sent forward as a RABCK or somehow ending up in the next incarnation of the biographies of things box 6of8 is planning in memory of MaryZee...but those are just suggestions. It's your book now, to do with as you please. :D

Received this RABCK from hyphen8 along with two lovely corner markers, both handmade and one perfectly color coded to the cover of the book. How lovely. I collect book marks and these are the first of this kind I've gotten and certainly the first so nicely made. I'll try to read it soon (early 2013 probably) and follow your suggestions regarding releasing it. Thanks for both this book (from my wishlist) and the markers.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I thought I had released this, but after I did supposedly tardy release notes, I realized I'd never read it and went hunting for it. Found it and am now reading it along with several others. Sorry for the confusion.

I'd released this book to our office bookshelves knowing that there are several scientists in the office. However, shortly after a friend told me she was looking for an interesting book to read which was different. We discussed this one and she took it off the shelf. Today she returned it finished and we had a whole discussion about how much she enjoyed it, what she liked best (the history of changes to New York laws brought about by the work that was done by the ME's office, fascinating cases, etc.), and that now she's more interested in non-fiction books than ever before. Thank you, once again, to hyphen8 who sent it to me. It will now go back on the shelf in the hopes that one of the geeks will pick it up.

Taken off the office shelf to lend to someone, who loved it and raved about how much she learned. Today I'm going to release it at a meetup or put it on an OBCZ shelf.
