I got this fair-condition softcover from Better World Books. I'd seen reviews of it and the two follow-on volumes in the Unshelved Book Club, and when I found that it's on several banned-book lists as well I had to try it.
Turns out it's a charming - and earthy - look at a young girl's coming of age, from her first realization that she's not shaped the same way as the little boys, to understanding what goes on between her mother and the traveling man, to her own feelings for a handsome student - and the feelings of a young monk for her. There are some explicit chats between her and her mother about sex, among other aspects of life, and all in all it seems a rather lovely story.

I'm adding this to the Manga/Manhwa bookbox, which will be on its way shortly. Hope someone enjoys it!
Banned books are such fun. This is a lovely book, the first in a trilogy about a young girl growing up in rural Korea. I enjoyed the story and will look for the others in the series before releasing it this Fall for Banned Books week. Thanks!
