I bought this book as a holiday read and because I thought the synopsis quite amusing.
But after having read it now I am pretty disappointed - not sure what I expected
but this wasn't it.
Eve is dis-likable, her indecision and back and forth between Ethan and Joe.. sometimes I wanted to smack her to come to a decision :-/
I liked the characters of Maggie, Isabel and Eve's Dad though!
I hoped it would have been more about this cooking contest, but that wasn't the major topic at all..
So I am offering this as a ray now - since tastes differ :-)

Arrived safetly in Australia today! Thanks kiki66, just have two other books ahead of it, and then I'll be onto it (don't worry, am a quick reader!).
Didn't mind this one. I have to agree, it's not what I initially expected. I also thought it would focus a little more on the supper club. What it actually is is a chick lit about a girl who can't decide between her boyfriend who is really sweet, and the one who got away that she never quite got over. The ending was a surprise to me, she didn't end up with who I expected at all.
I didn't mind Eve as a character. I never had an Ethan in my life, but I can see how you would think what if to the point it jeopardizes what you have that is good. I really disliked Daisy, and that was even before the big reveal.
If I had a criticism, it's that the book takes too long to get where it's going. I started to skim in the last 100 pages. And really Ethan's big confession dragged out way too long too
It's a good chick lit, well written. I liked it, didn't love it.

Arrived yesterday. Just started reading last night.
Finished the book this weekend. Overall, it was interesting. Took me a bit to get into the story, but once I did, I found myself wondering what Eve would ultimately decide. Thanks for sharing. I will be sending to CAN in the next few days. :)

A nice read. I do get frustrated with weaker female characters. I'm glad Eve got herself straightened out. I was surprised with the Joe twist. I think it should have had a different title. But it kept my interest.
I will find a new home for this book.

Like the others before me, I felt rather frustrated at times with Eve and how she was going back and forth all the time. I really think she should have been honest with Joe from the beginning...but of course he had some secrets as well..
