I was quite surprised by this book: it is high fantasy, with a strong Celtic feel.
There were some good ideas here, but I couldn't really empathise with any of the characters, all of whom felt a little shallow.
Not a bad book, but definitely not up to the standard of de Lint's urban fantasies, or the others in which the fantasy world exists so convincingly around the edges of our own.
