Der Klassiker unter den Klassikern... bei uns zu Hause inzwischen doppelt vorhanden, deswegen geht er jetzt einmal auf Reisen. Ab Oktober zu haben.

Done. Finally. This book stood on my bookshelf for ages and I had a few problems at the beginning because of the old language. In my opinion, the book gets better after the first half. At the beginning, all the characters and the setting get introduced, which wasn't that interesting but after a while it gets better and I even enjoyed reading the third part of the story.
I don't think that the storyline made this book so famous. It's the description of this century; how different those people thought; what character traits were important and how everyone got judged by his/her family background and wealth.
