WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Newly added. Starts its "into the wild" journey in Kleofas Cafe.
Nothing like a great cover to engage my interest, and hurrah Dark Waters turns out to be a book by a Scottish author, so I picked it up yesterday while visiting Café Kleofas in search of some yummy Christmas food stuffs. Yahoo - I found the plums coated in dark chocolate I wanted. Oh brilliant my mum will be thrilled!
Book burble:
‘DOMINIC,’ COL ASKED, ‘WOULD YOU EVER BETRAY ME?’
DOMINIC’S EYES WENT WIDE WITH HORROR. ‘NEVER, COL. NEVER.’
‘NO MATTER WHAT I DID?’
‘I’D DIE BEFORE I’D TURN AGAINST YOU. NO MATTER WHAT YOU DID.’
Col McCann is used to begin in trouble. It is always the McCann family, in particular Mungo, col’s brother, who the police think of first. But Col has recently acquired a new fan – Dominic. Different as the two boys are, their lives touch when Col saves Dominic from frowning in the local loch and col discovers what it is like to be a local hero.
But Col has seen something underwater in the loch, something that is still submerged in his memory. When it resurfaces, Col is led to a devastating truth about his brother. His loyalty to family and his need to do what is right are put head to head in direct conflict. A dramatically powerful novel from this acclaimed and prize-winning author.

---------------------
Cracking book, tough topics handled with both a realistic eye and compassionate understanding plus there’s a bit of supernatural action thrown in for extra bite. Indecision reigns as I’m not sure where to head this next, it was brilliant and I can think of at least three great destinations for it. I can mark it as available in case any other BookCrosser wants to swap for it.
