An easy, fascinating and ultimately uplifting read. I think my mum will enjoy this one so I'm passing it on to her.

Dot May Dunn, a pupil midwife, has to complete 12 deliveries before she is able to take her final exams.

Anyone who has been watching 'Call the Midwife' will love this book and will identify with Dot as she struggles with her heavily laden bycicle to attend to a cross section of pregnancies in the slum district where she is a pupil under the guidance of the strict Mrs O'Reilly.
