This fair-condition paperback's been in my "gory details" collection for some time now, and I think it's time it went traveling. It includes accounts of a number of women who were convicted of murder, including serial-killer Velma Barfield. Some of the convicted women appear to be victims of horrifying backgrounds and/or sinister spouses, while others were clearly monsters. The contrasts in their backgrounds and their trials are sobering, illustrating some weak points in the justice system...
