I was quite surprised to find this book in one of my pocket book shelves. I had no idea I've ever had any Cat Who books. Besides, it should have been in my detective story shelf if anywhere. Anyway, I have read one or two Cat Who books and liked them, I think. I'm not sure, though, if I need to read them more. This copy is now reserved.
The blurb:
Not to mention the conversion of the late Nathan Ledfield's mansion into a charitable museum! With Mr Ledfield's treasures being sold off to benefit needy children, the town is abuzz with excitement - that is, until a mysterious death from a bee sting leaves everyone but Cool Koko in a state of confusion.
Is it because Koko has sixty whiskers as Qwill suspects, or because Koko knows that the mysterious death was no accident?

Hmmm - these new(er) Cat who-books are not as nice as the old ones, I think Mrs. Jackson Braun has finally run out of ideas after all those books (this is number 29). The other thing that bothers me is the lack of any deeper emotions in these books. Even if someone close dies or relationship is broken or house burned, Jim shows very little emotion. Perhaps that is the whole idea, but it bothers me anyway.
Still, I enjoyed this, it is always cozy and so easy to return to Pickax!

Sending this to Annelis next, she has it on her wishlist :)
Thank you very much for the wishlist book, Chania! Maybe the author has run out of good ideas, but I'll read this anyway.
And Merry Christmas to you and Tarna!
