I've just finished rereading this classic collection of short stories and am more convinced than ever that Alice Munro deserves all the awards and recognition she has received. I'm most impressed by how she can create such compelling stories from the day-to-day lives of ordinary people.
I'll be sending this off shortly to lukutuoli who I tagged in a wishlist tag game.

This book was sent off to lukutuoli today. I hope you enjoy this collection of stories as much as I did!
Thank you so much for this wishlist book as well the BC stickers, that I found between the first pages :) Actually the postman had brought this already yesterday, but because I had my first summer holiday, I forgot to see my postbox. I'm not sure if it has ever happened before!
I'm sure I'll love this, I hope to find a peaceful moment to read Munro!

Absolutely loved these short stories telling about Rose and her stepmother Flo, actually this book tells about girls' and women's life in general. Perhaps I liked to read about the growth of a child to a young woman most, it was brilliantly described. The only difficulty with this book was the tiny font size, which is a problem to many of us born in 60's ;)
I'll highly recommend this book as well as other books by Munro!!
I'll offer this book to another friend of Munro soon...

In two meet-ups in a row, lukutuoli has suprised me with a wish-list RABCK. Maybe I should go to Tampere region meet-ups more often, eh? ;-)
And this time it was Canadian book. I love CanLit! And that's not all, it's Alice Munro?! One of the absolutely best writers in the world. I adore her. I can't thank you enough, lukutuoli. This is great.
I'm sorry to be this late with my JE, btw. I got the book yesterday afternoon but didn't make it to the computer until now.
