Sent to the 2013 annual convention in Göteborg.
Found this on the book buffet at the convention in Göteborg and decided to take it home for a while.
Something for you?
Wow, a surprisebook!! Thank you Deepswamp! :D this is definitely a book for me, it cought my interest at first glance!
Maya Angelou is one of those legendary writers whose books you hear about from all the people who've been inspired by them. I've wanted to read her books for some time now but I havn't had the time to do so. But when yesterday I heard about her passing I immediately brought out the three books written by her I have and this one was one of them. I resolved to read them all as soon as possible and I started with this one.
This is a small book that is very easy to read and packed full of big and small words and thoughts of wisdom on various themes. I really enjoyed reading this book and I'm looking forward to read the other two books too.
My thoughts go out to the friends and family of Maya Angelou and hope that they will find some consolation in how loved and admired she was and still is by so many people around the world. And even though her body has left us her spirit remains in her words and her words will live for ever. And this little book will hopefully contribute in spreading her words as it continiues its Bookcrossing-journey <3

Book full of Wisdom. Two of my favorite statements:
1."For what could stand against me with God, since one person, any person with God, constitutes the majority?"
2."What you're supposed to do when you don't like a thing is change it. If you can't change it, change the way you think about it. Don't complain."

Received the book yesterday, and I'm looking forward to it.
Just received this book today. Excited to start reading this. Will be starting tonight.
The book is with me. It's a small and light book but as soon as I got it I had a quick look and realised that it is full of wisdom and inspiration. Looking forward to reading it! Thank you PaDutch Travel for sending it along with the nice bookmarks:-))

This slightly travel-weary book has arrived here in the Swiss Alps (along with a lovely bookmark and spiffy recipe card -thank you!). It falls in line behind one or two other rings and books I need to read for work. As I'll be travelling to Scotland in about ten days, and I see the next reader is in the UK, I may take it to read on the trip and send from there. Thanks so much for sending and for making this available.

Although I had appreciated some quotes by this author, I had never actually read anything by her. This was made available on bookcrossing shortly after her death and it seemed the perfect opportunity to better acquaint myself with her. Perhaps it would have been better to actually pick up the novel by her that's somewhere gathering dust on my TBR shelf. For me the advantage of signing up for a ring is then I feel compelled to read it rather than putting it off. I read this while travelling and in some ways it was good for that. I was a bit disappointed in that I was expecting something less musing and chatty. I think it was not the best choice for a first true encounter with this writer. So I'm glad to have read it, but think I would have liked it more if it had been after getting a true sense of who this author is/was. I did really like the chapter about Complaining... so I hope this doesn't sound like I am! Thank you so much for making this available and sending. I've written for the next address and hope I can send it from here before leaving Glasgow.

I started and finished this this afternoon - a really well written and thoughtful little book! I have read a few Maya Angelou books before but not for a very long time - this has definitely made me want to re-read them! My favourite chapter was the one on complaining too! Will post this onwards soon. Thanks again for including me in the ray! :)
Arrived today. Thanks Sarahmangan

I have to give this little book 10 out of 10. I really enjoyed it and now wish to own a copy of my own. It was quick and easy to read and made me think a lot. I'd struggle to find a favourite part as I enjoyed it all. A must read for me.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
This book has some great nuggets of wisdom but it wasn't really my thing. The book is on it's way to Norway.
Recieved it in the mail today and I'll read it as soon as I can, I just need to finish another book first.
I tried to read it, but I had to give up. It's not that Angelou is a bad writer, but the book was just not my cup of tea.
I've PM'ed the next in line and hopefully it will be travelling soon.

Since a BC'er wanted to be skipped, it's now heading towards France.
And here it is. Thank you GronnLivsstil !
I'm very sorry to have involuntarily the book. Lamilla revived the thread asking why she wasn't on the list.
So I read it asap. Full of wisdom, sure.

On its way to lamilla in Belarus.
Finished it in two sittings. Now on the way to Japan
Arrived today - thanks!
I read the book in one sitting last night. It was okay but not something I'd choose to read again. I've contacted Marmee463 and once I hear from them, I'll send the book on its way.

Arrived today all the way from Japan, many thanks vikki. Although having read most of Maya Angelou's books I haven't read this one. I am very much looking forward to reading the inspirational words of this wise soul.
In this gem of a book Maya Angelou reminds us that everything we do, every seed we sew, every energy we put out into the world, shapes the world around us.

Will pass this on to Billbooks at Saturday's meet-up.
