Is there anything better than a free book? It's been a good week for free books! This one was given to me by my friend Agnes :) Always wanted to get stuck into Terry Pratchett but only read one book and that was when I was quiet young. Don't really remember it to well. Looking forward to reading the Discworld series
I've jumped from book 4 to 22. I'm starting to think that the series doesn't need to be read in order as it seems to be just set in Discworld and doesn't continue straight on. Which is great because I just skipped loads of books and still managed to like this :)
However like is the word here, again I didn't love it. I found myself sitting down with it more than Equal Rites and Mort, although I didn't love the characters as much as I did in this one. DEATH did make an appearance which was great. I thought the plot was much better in this one, it even made me giggle out load at times. Loved the Wizards interaction with Mrs Whitlow. Enjoyed the setting and Rincewind scenes with the Kangaroo. Good addition to the series but it's not the one that had made me love Discworld. Still looking!

Granting wishes and keeping them moving!

Thank you for granting a wish :-)
25 Oct 16 - I've decided I should have been born Australian, I use no worries far too much, almost as much as this book!
Looking back over the rest of the discworld books, I've prefered the witches, the watch and death much more than the books featuring the Wizards. This one I really enjoyed though, maybe because it was in a different serpentine to usual. I think I missed some of the in jokes, but there was plenty to keep me amused, and certainly didn't miss the Crocodile Dundee reference.
On another note I whole heatedly agree with this statement - There is no excuse for putting pineapple on a pizza.
