This is the first book by Marian Keyes that I've read and initially I wasn't connecting with the story. Once I got into it further then I found I was looking forward to the next time I could pick up the book and read some more, so in the end I'm glad that I took the time to read this. Definitely a little different however the characters evolved and the author was able to pull through emotions from the reader in a convincing way.
