Journal Entry 1 by katybean from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire United Kingdom on Thursday, May 03, 2012
I picked this book up whilst on holiday in Ibiza, it was left in a kind of 'swap shop' area in the hotel. I read and enjoyed this book a while ago (not sure why it hadn't been registered until now), it's not really like 'Call the Midwife' though!

Journal Entry 4 by teachie at High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire United Kingdom on Friday, March 01, 2013
The story of a district nurse from the north of England in the 1950's. It begins with her childhood and then tells about her first job as a kennel maid. Her nursing training began just before WW2 and we follow her through the war where she meets her future husband . This is an enjoyable book, very down to earth and written with a sense of humour.
