My rating: 2 of 5 stars

While the premise is interesting; I think that the author could have organized the writing more succinctly by focusing on a) fewer characters or b) including more analysis from a sociological, economic, or political perspective. As such, the entire 300 pages read like an extended NPR interview. Not bad, but an NPR interview takes shorter time.
