I'm not a big fan of much of American literature (I prefer British), but this book is absolutely wonderful. Edith Wharton created Lily Bart, a very individual and exceptional person, who has a hard time fitting into her class (the "upper class") because she doesn't have much money and also because she sometimes doesn't want to continue playing the game that must be played.

Released on Tuesday, December 02, 2003 at Mailed to a fellow Bookcrosser in n/a, n/a Controlled Releases. Traded for The C.S. Lewis Hoax. Enjoy! I just finished reading my copy of this book last night and enjoyed it yet again. I think I'm going to have to add it to my list of favorite books. :)

traded with luv2sewtjr .. arrived 6-30-05 .. I'm very interested in reading because when Anna Quindlan (Black and Blue, Object Lessons) spoke in my hometown she said this was her all time favorite book ... I thought it would make great summer reading ... thanks for the trade! :)
