CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
I was skeptical going into this, there are so many books about the holocaust - but this sidestepped all the gimmicky stuff whilst still having an original take. I really enjoyed it. The use of language is beautiful too - and I liked how realistic - flawed and multi-facited - the charecters were

Thank you for this wishlist book!
It is one of quite a few books I've been meaning to read but haven't gotten my hands on yet. It sounds very interesting and I am looking forward to reading it.

Finally read this book! It had been waiting for me for a while - it's not the type of book I usually read, and I don't generally enjoy stories about the first or second world war that much either, but this one was on my to be read list anyway. In the end I did end up enjoying this book, it was well-written, and I liked the element of books and language in this. It was a very unique book to read.
Thanks again, Vekiki, for this RABCK! Now let's see if I can find somewhere or someone to release this to.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
I enjoyed reading this book a lot and can now cross it off my very long list of books on my wish or to read list. I traded it for a different book in this London bookcrossing zone and hope it will find it's way into the hands of a new reader.

I caught it at Camel & Artichoke - OBCZ in Waterloo in my last visit and took it with me back to Greece. This has been in my wishlist for a long time, too.
I really liked this book. It treats a difficult subject with real sensitivity and originallity and brings to life some wonderful characters and powerful images. I was deeply drawn the whole time I spent reading it.
I have two objections. I didn't like how some future events were repeatedly mentioned in advance -one vague hint would have been enough for me. And I didn't like the obsessive emphasis on Liesel being a book thief, especially the part before her second "theft". The "stealing" of books was actually more of a subplot -very important, but supplementary to the main course of events.
Had it not been for these two factors, the book would be perfect for me. I hope I get a chance to watch the film soon.

On its way to another bookcrosser as a birthday present, part of 2015 Oppem's Birthday Group. Safe travels!
Thank you very much for this birthday gift
