About the book:
Dogs Are Better Than Men:
They never brag about their ex's stunning cleavage.
They don't moan or sulk if you're a half-hour late.
They never tell you a Brazilian would really turn them on.
After her most recent disaster with the King of the Unrepentant Jerks, Isabel "Izzy" Palmer is finally convinced that the only male she truly needs in her life is Henry, her lovable part wolfhound, part who-knows-what. Henry's faithful, he adores her madly, and he's great fun to sleep with. So who needs the additional heartache?

But even armed with powerful knowledge and a new resolve, Izzy starts to feel that familiar itch ... and it's all because of Nick. He's a vet for goodness sake -- confident, handsome and compassionate -- if a bit rough around the edges. After teasing her about Henry's unusual looks and questioning her most recent choice in men, Nick then has the gall to turn halfway charming. But he doesn't stop at halfway, and though she already has a best friend, Izzy realizes it doesn't preclude her from having a perfect match, too.

Happy Reading!

Here are the rules:

1. When you receive the book, make a journal entry so we all get the thrill of knowing where it's at.

2. Send a private message (PM) to the next person in line for their address. If they do not respond within three days, PM them again. If they do not respond within a week of your first message, PM the person after them and contact me.

3. Read the book, within 30 days, and make a journal entry to tell us what you have thought about the book. You can be as brief or as lengthy as you wish with your thoughts about the book.
Please remember, that there are many anxious readers patiently waiting to read the book after you. Please bear this in mind! If you tend to be a slow reader, like myself, and need the month to finish the book, please make a periodic journal entry indicating how far you are into the story, or thoughts about what you have read so far. This way we know that the book has not been forgotten in your ‘to-be-read’ garden:)

4. When you are ready to send the book to the next person in line, make release notes/a journal entry to say when the book is leaving your hands and who'll be catching it next, and pop it into the post!

5. To the last person on the list: Please PM me and I will send you my mailing address:)

Thank you for participating!

***When you receive a PM from the person before you, letting you know that you are next in line, and you find yourself overwhelmed with book commitments,(or just life in general) Please PM me and I may be able to move you farther down the list.

Yea!! Got this bookring in the mail today. I will start it tonight, and hopefully have it done tomorrow, since I have the day off work and it looks like the weather's going to be nasty all day. Will journal again when I'm done reading.

UPDATE: Nov. 22 So much for getting this read in a day.....I have been SOOO busy this week. My husband's ship (Navy) is leaving soon so we've been going to meetings and stuff all week. I have a whole day free tomorrow, and plan to catch up on my reading. Thanks for your patience everyone.

Too funny ;-)

I got pm's from both TheScreaming and Tamugrad02 yesterday about an error in shipping. Then late last night when my hubby got home, he picked up the mail (I've stayed inside during the snowstorm, so far) and there was this lost little book.
Since I'm piled up w/ bookrings at the moment, this will go on to TheScreaming as soon as we can get to the P/O. I don't read much chick lit, but this'll be on my shelf now. Maybe I'm meant to read it!

Mailed this out on Thursday, 12/11. Sorry for the hold-up!

Journal Entry 7 by thescreaming from Cumberland, Maryland USA on Monday, December 15, 2003
This came today. After I finish my current book, then I'll start on this one. Hopefully I'll be able to get it out before the end of the year.

Journal Entry 8 by thescreaming from Cumberland, Maryland USA on Monday, December 15, 2003
Hey tamugrad02, I just noticed you said your husband is in the Navy. My dad was stationed at Virgina Beach when he was in the Navy too, many moons ago :)

Journal Entry 9 by thescreaming from Cumberland, Maryland USA on Monday, December 29, 2003
This was a cute little book. The back cover blurb makes the ending obvious, but the journey there was rather interesting. I'm so glad that there weren't any horribly written sex scenes, just a simple "yeah, the had sex and it was good" satisfies me :)

Off to Tyressia once I get her address.

Journal Entry 10 by Amorae from Ottawa, Ontario Canada on Thursday, January 22, 2004
The book arrived safely this afternoon. :) I'll add it to the "TBR Bookray/ring" pile (which is growing at an alarming rate), and I'll get to it as quickly as I can.

Journal Entry 11 by Amorae from Ottawa, Ontario Canada on Friday, February 20, 2004
I realized I've had this book for almost a month, and it doesn't look like I'll be able to read it in a timely manner. :( I'm going to PM MandMsMom for her address, and keep the book travelling. Hopefully, I'll have a chance to read it sometime in the future.

Journal Entry 12 by MandMsMom from Stamford, Connecticut USA on Saturday, April 3, 2004
Ooh...Can't wait to read this one. Looks fabulous!

Journal Entry 13 by MandMsMom from Stamford, Connecticut USA on Sunday, May 2, 2004
I loved this book. It is classic chick lit and like all chick lit it had the same essential storyline. But, it was the extra story elements that made this one unique and kept me up all night reading. I loved the murder party and the search and rescue. This is a great light read and will go on my frequently recommended book list!

Journal Entry 14 by rem_ZWU-580656 on Monday, May 10, 2004

Journal Entry 15 by rem_ZWU-580656 on Tuesday, May 11, 2004
Okay...so call me addicted to reading!! I found this one to be cute & entertaining...I was hoping that there was some unpredicted twist at the end that made all the previous readers liars....and well...maybe there was!! I loved the characters in this one! This one is on it's way north to Alaska--should be there soon!

Journal Entry 16 by havfaith from Spokane, Washington USA on Saturday, May 15, 2004
Received today ~ will read soon and pass along to the next reader in the ring... =)

5/23 -> Just started it so it should be ready to go by the weekend. =) PMs to reader1212 have gone unanswered so I've PM'd haloangel for her addy to keep it moving.

6/6 -> I never finished this. I just couldn't get into it. Maybe I just had too many other things going on. Anyhoo, this will be off to haloangel Monday... =)

I am sorry that I forgot to post saying I received but it had ended up in a box with a bunch of books that had been read and some that hadn't been...

This is such a cute book! I really enjoyed reading it. I am not too much in to chick lit but it was a fast easy read. Thanks for sharing this book!
