The Nazi Officer's Wife

This is an amazing, and true story about a Vienesse woman in the time before, during and after WWII. She was able to survive the war by being a "submarine" : a Jewish citizen portraying to be Aryan, right under the Gestapo's noses. I have never heard of this, so I read it, and I was just amazed at this recollection about the war. Very good read!!!
Tabby-cat-owner picked this book from the Non fiction VBB. I thoroughly liked this memoir, and I found it to be an amazing story. I hope others will also.
I did not realize that I had never made a journal entry for this book. I received this book about a year ago from debbie4osu of Carrollton, Texas. I am almost finished reading it. It is a book that is hard to put down. It is a very moving and interesting book.
I am sorry that I forgot to make a journal entry for this book, debbie4osu.

This is a fantastic book. It is a real-life memoir but there is a lot of suspense and pathos in this book. I learned a lot about life. This book really took you on a journey from the author's rather carefree and fun childhood in Vienna to the slippery slope of Nazi domination. The book got even more interesting toward the end as I read about life as WWII was ending and the transition to, in this case, Russian occupation in East Berlin.
