WILD RELEASE NOTES:

An incredibly humbling diary that has touched the hearts of millions around the world. It is a strange and unique account that similarly to watching Titanic, you already know the tragic ending. It is a reminder of the horrors of mankind but also the sheer determination of mankind to overcome adversity.

Anne's diary details life in the Secret Annexxe in a very normal way albeit written with an intelligence beyond her 13 years. Subjects come and go yet some underpin captive life and are apparent throughout. Her highs and lows are prominent yet still articulated jn a way that keep this diary very relevant 60years later. Modern day teenagers would still relate to the parental control and struggle for independence.

It is the tragic outcome that gives this account humanity and soul and brings life very much into perspective. Given such a well-written insight for a youngster it begs the question as to what Anne might have achieved has she survived? Wartime Dutch leaders requested diaries to document life under Nazi rule and with Anne's now a published and well known one, it has single handedly given the world just that.

A lengthy read and tricky to follow at times but keep with it.
