Journal Entry 1 by BayAreaBookie from Livermore, California USA on Saturday, April 07, 2012
This has been on my To Read List for sometime and I am finally getting around to it. Loved this story of an American young woman trying to discover her mother's Irish roots and the small discarded fishing village bypassed by a new main road that welcomes her.

Journal Entry 3 by Calif-BookLover at Dublin, California USA on Wednesday, June 13, 2012
Picked up at our June 2012 BC meeting. And into the reading pile it goes!!! 7/19/2012: I had just finished reading a long novel and reached for another heavy tome... but decided to read this book instead. And a good choice it was! This was a quick and pleasant read, despite some sad/difficult occurrences in the story. There was also some delightful humor, such as the various reactions to the lacemakers' modifying their undies with beautiful lace insets. Ireland sounds wonderful... lots of references to the music, the scenery, and the delightful people. Book to be released at the August 14 meeting of the TriValley BC group in Dublin, California.
