So - I have finished this book and I must admit, I don't know why...
I didn't like it.. it was so slow. Somehow I was waiting for something to happen but it
went on and on till the end, by then I had guessed what happened.
Anyway, I did finish it and now I will send it to the Netherlands as soon as I have the address!
Edit 7.08.12: this book will stay with me until I am back from holidays since Boekentrol is on holidays as well :-)
Edit_2: Boekentrol wants to be skipped for the time being so I asked Anne-Elliott for
her address!

Thought the book was highly melodramatic & far too long! Editor should have lopped a couple of hundred pages from the original manuscript! Couldn't quite believe in Claudia & K's relationship either. Still, it held my attention, & I shall send it off to jo_an_a in Finland.

I'm glad that nobody is waiting for the book as I have two thick books to finish. I may take a little longer with this one.
How could this apparently "happy" married guy get involed with this 16 years old girl ? How could he let it happened ? From the start, I didn't like this 40 years old writer. I thought he was selfish, unreliable and he made me very insecure. I didn't even believe he loved Claudia that deeply, but was only attracted physically by this beautiful young girl. As a mother of two, am I judging him too harshly ? Could this really have been true love ?
Those were the questions I have been asking myself while reading this novel. I liked moving from the 90's into 2004-2005.
