An hilarious story about an advertising firm told entirely in e-mail messages. One of the few books I've read in the last several years that is laugh-out-loud funny.

Released on Monday, July 26, 2004 at To another Bookcrossing member in By Post, By Post Controlled Releases.

To Bookcrosser tarasdsu. Mailed on 7.26.2004.

Thank you so much pasquinade...ever since there was some talk about this book on one of the boards a few months ago I've been dying to read it. :)
Looks like a quick read, I'll slip it to the top of Mt. TBR.
Thanks Again!

Hilarious book! The characters were fantastic...towards the end of the book I found myself thinking..."yep, typical Liam!" Lol. What a unique idea for a book, using emails, or "e" as they call them. Thank you for sharing this book with me. I want to make sure it goes to someone else who wants it, so if its on anyone's wish list, I'll send it to them rather than releasing it into the wild. Or maybe a bookray? Hmm...

A very special BookCrosser, Tarasdu, was kind enough to arrange an in-person handoff of this book - it's the beginning of a book ray and I plan on delving into it in September - then on to the next lucky BC'er!

Journal Entry 8 by cisco from El Granada, California USA on Thursday, October 14, 2004
What a fun read! Reminiscent of "The Office" TV program (as seen on BBC America). Finally on its way to you, Gina!

Journal Entry 9 by saoirse from Frankfort, Kentucky USA on Thursday, October 21, 2004
This looks like such a fun book! Got one to finish before I start it but it should be quick.

Journal Entry 10 by saoirse from Frankfort, Kentucky USA on Saturday, October 23, 2004
Loved it! Is there any groups of people more charming than Brits? Also, I could swear that I've worked in that very same company before, only it was an insurance company, not an advertising firm. At any rate, I've definitely worked with those people before. I'll be sending this on to barker first thing Monday.

Journal Entry 11 by barker-tx from Katy, Texas USA on Tuesday, November 2, 2004
Hilarious! Corporate back-stabbing, hi-jinks, etc. Probably even funnier if you have been associated with a public relations/advertising firm.

Journal Entry 12 by SmilingSun from Westchester, Illinois USA on Sunday, December 12, 2004
just received this from barker in TX as part of a bookring. I'm looking forward to jumping into this one right away!

ready to mail on - just could not get into it - too bad since so many others loved it - waiting address of next person.

continuing on its journey to Ramya-NJ

I received this in Friday's mail and finished it on Saturday! The epistolary novel is an interesting form, and I think this one well done.

Most of my "laugh out loud" moments were when reading the e's from pertii -- what a stitch!

Thanks tashajean for sending and tarasdsu for lending!

I'll be sending this on as soon as I get jag624's address.

Journal Entry 18 by Ramya from Plainsboro, New Jersey USA on Sunday, February 6, 2005
This book is now packed up and ready to be shipped. I’ll get to the PO Thursday morning and make a brief journal update once the book is actually in the mail. Thanks, tarasdsu, for sharing this book!

This was a very funny book; I read it in a few days. Hilarious and funny how it all turned out

Journal Entry 21 by Lpree from Omaha, Nebraska USA on Saturday, February 26, 2005
This arrived in today's mail. I have a few other bookrings ahead of it but will read it as soon as I can.

I made the mistake of looking at it, and now I don't want to put it down! So I'm really looking forward to reading it - looks like a fun book.

Journal Entry 22 by Lpree from Omaha, Nebraska USA on Monday, February 28, 2005
Okay, I was bad - I finished up another book, and picked this one up instead of reading the next one in the line. It just kept calling me! It was a quick read, though, so I don't feel too guilty.

I thought it was hilarious to see the antics of folks at this ad agency. It was a great idea to use emails as the basis for this novel.

I've PMd the next person in line and hope to mail this out sometime this week. Many thanks to taradsu for starting this ray!

UPDATE - mailed 3/7

Arrived today. I absolutely LOVE the cat bookmark. Thank you.
Would you believe it but I have no books on Mt TBR at present so this is the next book to be read.

Journal Entry 24 by Mundoo from Hindmarsh Island, South Australia Australia on Thursday, May 5, 2005
What a good story. I enjoyed the antics and wondered how any work actually got done there. I had one moment of let down and that was when the in-house MTV presentation was happening, I fully expected the 'horne' video to be the staring feature due to the botch-ups that happened with everything else. But no, the standard presentation was the feature. I did love the releasing on the internet though of the 'horne' movie and will go to that web address just to see what is actually there.

Does anyone else go to web addresses mentioned in fiction books?

The characters were fully believable, all offices have them, from the goodie-two-shoes Ken to the randy LOL.

The TV advert shoot was a beauty with the weather (sunburn and typhoon) conspiring.

Probably the only loose end I would have liked to have know was where Simon disappeared to.
