I didn't know a huge amount about Steve Tyler and Aerosmith and may not have read this book at all if I hadn't seen Steve Tyler on American Idol and kind of taken to him. Having said that the excesses of the rock and roll lifestyle are well documented, so in that respect, the book was as expected - sex, drugs and rock and roll and lots of it. Insightful and entertaining but probably not for the faint of heart - as the back cover of the book says ‘brace yourself for one of the wildest rides of your life’.
