Found this today at the British Heart Foundation, Clayton Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne. The original giver, Linda Newton picked them up from Cogito, Hexham so travelled a few miles already. I am still to finish the WBN 2011 list so this 2012 copy is a way down the TBR

This book did not keep me on edge. it did not grip me and want me to keep on reading every second. However I did read it and don't feel it was a comp0lete failure, just not for me.

Set in 1948 Queenie Bligh's neighbours do not approve when she agrees to take in Jamaican lodgers. The book takes you through the stories of four characters and explores a point in Englandd's past when the country began to change
