I never meant to keep the book this long! I have offered this book as part of booklady331's Already Book Crossed VBB.
I found this book very interesting. For one, I wasn't aware of Sri Lanka's civil war. For another, I found it interesting that Anil was a forensic anthropologist investigating the buried skeletons of murder victims.
Ondaatje is a highly skilled writer, and I was drawn into the lyrical voice of his writing.

I managed to upload the Canada 150 Logo into these Release Notes. Apparently there was quite a bit of controversy surrounding the selection of this one created by a 19 year old student, and this particular version does not list “1867 – 2017” under the logo.
