I am the first receiver of this book- really love the concept of being able to follow its journey- hopefully around the world. I've just finished it today in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and will pass it on to someone so that it can begin its journey.
It's probably not a novel I would have chosen for myself but I did quite enjoy it, however, it was quite slow and overly descriptive in places.

This book was very enjoyable -- giving a window into a very specific lifestyle and a period of time; one wonders how the author managed to recreate such a world.

Reading this in Thames, New Zealand, felt sad reading the book; sad that a life could be so wasted and reflected on the ways in which my life has been the same.
