Journal Entry 2 by Mink-Butterfly at York, North Yorkshire United Kingdom on Tuesday, November 6, 2012
Picked up this book today and thought it looked interesting. I have read The Wasp Factory, but I have not read any of Iain M Banks's science fiction so I look forward to reading this.
This is a an excellent book, I really enjoyed reading it. I thought the universes of the Culture and Azad were really well realised and the characters were all well developed. I thought the story was exciting. I will definitely read some more of Iain M Banks's work.

Journal Entry 6 by Diane-Fraser at Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear United Kingdom on Thursday, November 26, 2015
It took me a while to get into this story. Sci Fi and fantasy are no longer my favourite genre but I do like to try one every so often. I won't be going out of my way to find another of this author but I would definitely give another of his books a read if they turned up on my TBR :)
This book has some water damage due to a loose top and a bottle of water!
Still readable and will release in the wild.
