Picked up at the grocery store. I grew up in the area it takes place so I figured it would be a good read :)

Awesome book. Loved the plot-kept me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out who did it. I do wish there had been a little more interaction with the ghost.

I spent my high school years around the Aspen/Basalt/Glenwood Springs area. Enjoyable to read about the areas that I have been too and know what she is describing. I hope to read more from this author.

from amazon.com:
When rock musician Jade Baptiste and her best friend, Coco la Rue, move to a century-old Victorian in Aspen, they are immediately hit with a barrage of terrifying and inexplicable events. Coco does her best to convince Jade that the manifestations are proof of a haunting. Jade is positive they are anything but supernatural—a series of “accidental" deaths furthers her conviction. While searching for the truth, she unearths secrets more ancient, more perverse and more deadly than she ever could have imagined. Jade finds that she must confront the memory of a macabre childhood trauma before she can understand the true nature of a man, a murderer, a ghost, and herself. This intricately woven tale of paranormal and psychological suspense will have the reader turning pages well into the night

My Review: I enjoyed reading this book! It reminds me of some of my favorite black and white haunted house movies.

I highly recommend these movies: The Haunting (1963) or House on Haunted Hill (1959)

Saved for a Bookbox.

I picked this out of Aberpeter's Read and Journaled Bookbox. I actually chose this for my daughter who loves horror stories and hauntings. After reading the reviews, however, I am anxious to read it too. Thanks for sharing.
