From the back cover: "No stranger to sprawling country estates, society girl and aspiring journalist Daisy Dalrymple is heading for beautiful Wentwater Court to cover a story for 'Town & Country' magazine. But the visit turns into an investigation when suave Lord Stephen Astwick meets a shockingly chilly end on the tranquil skating pond. With evidence that his death was anything but accidental, Daisy joins forces with Scotland Yard. Hopefully, the culprit can't slip through their fingers as smoothly as the unfortunate Astwick slipped through the ice . . ."

Picked this book up while on holiday in England. A very easy-reading murder-mystery, the first in the series of Daisy Dalrymple Mysteries written by this author. Set in the 1920's with the main character, Daisy being unmarried and starting a career as a journalist / photographer. She meets Alec, Chief Inspector with Scotland Yard and assists in the task of solving the crime at hand.
