I thought this was a very good mystery story. The strength or a mother's love for her daughter. How far would she go? What all would she do to save her? This story has the answers. This is the first mystery book I've read by this author. I'll be reading more.

D. D Warren is a veteran detective and this should be a open and shut case. A man lies dead and his wife, a state police trooper, says she shot him in self-defense. She has bruises that seem to back up her story. But somethings isn't right. Where is their daughter? This is going to be hard investigation as she tries to find the truth. A very good read.

It looked like an open and shut case, Tessa's husband is dead and her weapon is the murder weapon. Tessa appears to be a victim of domestic abuse. But where is her six-year old daughter?

The book takes many twists and turns and just when I thought I had it figured out, there came another plot twist. Definitely a good read and I would highly recommend it.
