First in Monfredo's United States Civil War series.
Undercover and behind the lines is where Bronwen Llyr finds herself during the first few years of the war - as part of the new special intelligence force of the Treasury. Her sister Kathryn volunteers as a nurse for the Union Army and is assigned to the field. In the heart of enemy territory and in the thick of battle, the two sisters must thwart a Rebel Conspiracy that threatens both of their lives - and the entire outcome of the war.

Thank you so much, eicuthbertson! I love this author and am looking forward to reading this.
This was a very interesting book, but it ended rather indeterminately, so I'm looking forward to finding the next one in the series. I learned several things from it, too, including the fact that the US Treasury had an intelligence team and that at this time, most nurses were men; women weren't considered fit for the job.
Thanks for sharing, eicuthbertson!
