From back cover:
"Brooke Hanson was the baby of Australia's Commonwealth Games swim team with the world at her feet. Yet it took a decade of dogged perserverance, including twice narrowly missing Olympic selection and suffering physical setbacks, before she finally achieved her Olympic dream.
Against all the odds, the breaststroker with the beaming smile and effervescent personality won a silver individual medal and gold relay medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics. Weeks later, she won six gold medals at the FINA World Short Course Championships. Her victorious mood was cut short when her coach's life was devastated by unproven sexual allegations - and she was electrocuted in an exhibition spa pool.
Co-wriiten by Neil Cadigan, sports journalist and author, 'When Silver is Gold' is an inspiring story about an Australian woman who refused to give in . . . and found that coming second at the Olympic Games was as good as gold."

Found the book at Aquahub a few weeks ago. Really enjoyed reading about Brooke's story and how she swam at Croydon Memorial Pool. Planning to leave the book in Mentone where I work, as I won't be at Aquahub for quite sometime. Love the idea of book crossing and I hope the book finds it's way into someone else's hands soon!
