I love Ann Cleeves, especially the The Shetland Quartet" & the Vera Stanhope series (much better than the TV series!) & am sorry to say had forgotten all about the Inspector Ramsay series - so it was great to reacquaint myself with this atmospheric little tale of lies, blackmail, adultery & madness.
