Thank you for sending this from Mystery/Thriller VBB!

Journal Entry 4 by wingeponine38wing at Winchester, Massachusetts USA on Saturday, March 9, 2013
This was an interesting cozy-type mystery with a twist: the reader sees the murder through the eyes of the killer as it's being committed (sort of like Law and Order: Criminal Intent). So not much mystery there, but there are other things happening like a series of unsolved arson fires. The main charm of this series is our sleuth, Charly Poisson, chef and co-owner of La Fermette, a French restaurant. He's a likeable character, perhaps a bit naive, but with a good heart. [My one little issue with the book is that Charly's English is inconsistent - usually making basic mistakes like speaking only in the present tense but then in a few spots speaking in perfect English with an extended vocabulary. But this is really only a minor distraction from this fun read].
