Thank you J4Shaw! I got this today and am looking forward to reading it.

I am not sure what I expected but this was not quite it. The novel is two interwoven stories - Henry and Aniday. Henry is kidnapped by a band of hobgoblins at the age of 7 and is renamed Aniday. Henry is replaced by Gustav who assumes Henry's identity and life. Gustav had been kidnapped in the 1800's when he was 7 and he must deal with assuming the life of Henry and his previous life as Gustav (which shows up in unexpected ways). There is much to digest here as their lives intersect and in some cases mirror each other. But I found myself feeling that there was something lacking in this story.

One quote I liked:

"At some point, you have to let go of the past...Be open to life to come."

LMAO. I knew this title was on my wishlist and when I read the summary I assumed Imust have just read a Neil Gaiman when I put it on my list.
Turns out right title, different author. Going to read it right now.

I really tried to get into this book. I even took it to an appointment where I knew I'd have no other reading material. No go.
Leaving it in the library where I live. If it doesn't move I will wild release this summer.
