a somewhat antiquated sense of humour, which made me think of 19th century boulevard comedies. I got a little lost among all the Dukes and Earls. It was fun to read, though.

The book was in my mailbox today. Thank you Tasmine. I really like P.G.Wodehouseand look forward to read this book. Thanks also for the wonderful postcard,Backcovertext: When a mad Duke plans to kidnap the Empress of Blandings, Lord Emsworth calls in the ingenious Uncle Fred to pull the fat pig out of the fire.
My opinion: I love British humor. Uncle Fred is the solution to everything even when it comes to matters to raise money for those in need. He travels incognito to Blandings Castle pretending that he is a brain specialist and he even makes others change their identity.
The book offers lots of laughter, and in the final chapter, we again hear Uncle Fred's narrative art that persuades the audience that he is telling the truth.

I've read the book once again and I liked it this time too.
The book is old and the pages are loose. I have to decide if I should tape it together even more. Maybe I read it again. It is interesting to read books several times when you notice new details
