From the back:
There was a little girl who had a little girl who had a little girl. The only man who can unravel that riddle is lying in a Florida hospital, battling for his life after being gunned down outside a Calusa bar. Now Matthew Hope's best friends are fanning out into the heat, retracing his footsteps, desperately trying to discover who wanted him dead. They find pieces of a baffling puzzle: a circus teeming with animal trainers, freaks, and carnal knowledge; a curvacious three-foot woman who died a brutal death; a big Florida land deal. How do they fit together? His mind flickering in and out of consciousness, Matthew Hope knows the answer. So does a killer - waiting for him to live, or die.

It is with great regret that we at the Book Cemetery have to report that notwithstanding a long and detailed search we are unable to advise the whereabouts of this much loved Reading Companion. Even the intervention of Bookerpol has failed to locate it. Following an emotional Memorial Service held in the Great Chapel today 25 April 2005 the memory of this dear friend was released to the ether down in the Glade of Silence as the Choir rendered "There Was a Little Girl, Who Had a Little Curl" in a most moving manner. A flock of white doves was released as the Ceremony concluded, and in a moment of absolute wonder the Sun lowered a ray of glorious sunlight down on the Memorial Plaque attached to the Wall of Rememberance.

Chief Mourner was Sissyrun. An Invitation to the supposed booknapper hathyia has gone unanswered. The Management and Staff of the Book Cemetery offer sincere condolences at this sad time.
