Well written young adult book that has captivated the adult world.

Some thoughts: The whole premise of the book of having a reality show where people fight to the death isn't as far fetched as it first apprears. The thought came to me that the Hunger Games are just a few notches up from the TV reality show Survivror. The contestents form groups and take out the weaker ones. In turn they will turn against those they "befriended." The sponsors or the announcer changes the rules as the game goes on.

I never liked Survivor as it pits people against each other and encourages them to become deceitful in order to win. "Hunger Games" are just a more violent form of Survivor.
