I just realized that I forgot to add my two cents' worth after I finished reading this book. I really, really enjoyed it - Jack Ketchum has a way of making you so angry, of making you loathe someone in his books (much like The Girl Next Door) - always. I can't believe the book ended with poor Lydia being in prison, and Robert in Ruth's custody. The only reason I didn't give it a "10" is because I found the courtroom stuff way too long, but that's just a personal opinion. Let's hope people like Arthur are far and few between in this world...
