Purchased from the PDSA charity shop in Colchester for bookcrossing. A good read from one of my favourite authors.

I went down to London for a bookcrossing meetup on Saturday and Nu-Knees wanted me to bring her back a souvenier (because she couldn't make it unfortunately). So this is that. I think she's enjoyed some Ian McEwan but I'm not sure whether she's read or will want to read this one... we'll see.

Thank you for this souvenir of your trip to London, tree-hugger! Much appreciated! I've not read it and look forward to doing so, thank you very much - but goodness only knows when ..... books, books, multiplying books .... I love them :-)

Amazon Editorial Review: "It is June 1962. In a hotel on the Dorset coast, overlooking Chesil Beach, Edward and Florence, who got married that morning, are sitting down to dinner in their room. Neither is entirely able to suppress their anxieties about the wedding night to come..."On Chesil Beach" is another masterwork from Ian McEwan - a story about how the entire course of a life can be changed by a gesture not made or a word not spoken."
