Interesting mystery set in 1912 Tangier. From a series - Seymour, of Scotland Yard but working for the British Foreign Office, investigates the death of a Frenchman in the expat communities of Tangier.

Dead Man in Tangier caught my interest as Morocco and Algeria have recently been just interesting in so many ways (at least for me). I'd love to visit (also) those places some day - until then, armchair travel with a good mystery book or five, and some occasional foods from the exotic locations counts as travel as well, doesn't it? :)

Something enjoyable to read between heavier thrillers, taking me to Morocco of a hundred years ago... interesting characters and neat places. Perhaps a bit too dialog driven occasionally - I think Seymour and his assistants could use an occasional burst of 'outrageous action'. :)

"Don't ever apologize to an author for buying something in paperback, or taking it out from a library (that's what they're there for. Use your library). Don't apologize to this author for buying books second hand, or getting them from bookcrossing or borrowing a friend's copy. What's important to me is that people read the books and enjoy them, and that, at some point in there, the book was bought by someone. And that people who like things, tell other people. The most important thing is that people read... "
