Trophies: A Novel

A chick-lit about a socialite and her loyal friends. She has it all until one day her social position is challenged, her deepest and darkest secrets are revealed, and she loses it all. A fluffy and fun read about trying to recover her life.
Not really serious at all, it made me giggle out loud more than once and was hard to put down. I liked the characters, and that there were strong female characters. One of my favorite reads.

Released at a holiday get together
I received this as a wrapped gift with only the first sentence listed as a clue as to the book " Marion Zane hadn't realized how long it had been since she ws in a department store, or any shop for that matter, until she entered Barneys New York in Beverly Hills". Now normally I do not go for long wordy sentences but this one did intrique me. I think I got the best of the books there!
It is written my Heather Thomas who is an actress that starred in The Fall 'guy with Lee Majors.... and oldy!

This book was one that I thought would be just up my alley but I had a hard time gettinginto it....put it down and just picked it up again.
Thanks Eri Cherry
Yes it was a fluff piece but I did come to respect the philanthropic abilities of the Trophies. Tough women. And to think I always wondered how people could spend 10k a month.....well that was nothing compared to these women!

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Taken to the October meeting: To the Nines. I read a lot of chick lit for this theme - high society, queen bees etc. Perhaps that wasn't the smartest move in high stress September!
I took a while with this book as parts of it turned me off (shallow) but I did end up enjoying it at the end.
To the finder:
Calgary has an active group of BookCrossers that meet to swap books and discuss book crossing every second Saturday of the month at 11am at Cravings Market on Fairmount Drive SE. We always love to meet new crossers, so please join us any time you like!

This book was left at the end of this month's Calgary Bookcrossing meetup. Held in the "not my cup of tea" box for return to Eri-Cherry, unless advised it is open for future wild release.
